Trails Begin in Midway
Midway sits at Mile 0 of the historic Kettle Valley Rail Trail, where railway roots run deep and outdoor access begins. Nestled beside the Kettle River, this quiet village is a favourite stop for travellers exploring the Boundary backroads.
This riverside village is a launch point for cycling adventures, nature walks and historical discovery. Its location makes it a convenient base for day trips in every direction, while its charm invites longer stays. Whether you’re pedalling the KVR or enjoying a picnic under the trees, Midway delivers peaceful simplicity at its best.

the entwined trees
The sacred entwined trees were joined together by the First Nations from America and the Okanagan, as a symbol commemorated by the saying; โYet they are separated, be as one.โ The Entwined Trees Park is also home to the Gateway (Stekthal) Learning Circle created by local artist David Seven Deers with support from the Village of Midway and School District 51. The space represents a gateway to the world, learning, community and understanding of each other.
