River Float & Rafting

Cool your shorts

A cherished summer activity in Boundary Country, often referred to as tubing, offers a refreshing way to experience our natural beauty. The Kettle and Granby Rivers are particularly popular for this leisurely activity. For those looking to diversify their adventures, the Kettle Valley Rail Trail runs alongside portions of these rivers. This proximity allows for a combination of biking or hiking followed by a cooling river float.

Two people enjoy a river float on inflatable tubes in a clear lake surrounded by forested mountains under a sunny blue sky, with a few others and sailboats visible in the background.

Beat the Heat

Jump right in, the water’s fine! Splash about. Go for a float or tip your friends into the drink. Watch eagles soar the thermals above the rivers. Experience good, family fun in the sun.

Know Before You Go

Before setting out, consult with local visitor centres to be aware of river conditions, potential hazards and recommended entry and exit points. Safety considerations are important when tubing the rivers. Be sure to wear protective footwear, have sun protection, stay hydrated and have fun!
